Whipped Cottage Cheese Dip

This whipped cottage cheese dip is ultra-smooth and airy, brightened with lemon zest and garlic for a tangy, creamy flavor. It comes together in about 10 minutes and is great as a make-ahead appetizer or high-protein snack for parties and veggie platters.

Ingredients

  • 24 ounce cottage cheese 4% or 2%
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 clove garlic small
  • Salt and pepper
  • fresh dill, thyme, basil optional add-ins

Instructions

  1. Place the cottage cheese in a fine-mesh strainer and tap the strainer over the empty container to remove as much excess liquid as possible. Transfer the drained cottage cheese to a food processor.
  2. Add the lemon zest, clove garlic, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper. If using fresh herbs, add 1 to 3 teaspoons of dill, thyme, or basil.
  3. Cover the food processor and purée until the cottage cheese is smooth. Scoop the dip into a bowl, cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
