Equipment

  • Electric Mixer
  • large mixing bowl
  • serving bowl
  • knife
  • wooden spoon

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces (226 g) Cream cheese room temperature, divided
  • 4 tablespoons (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (134 g) peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract divided
  • 1 cup vanilla or plain Greek yogurt or regular yogurt or Cool Whip see note
  • 1 cup Homemade Brownie Mix
  • Mini chocolate chips and/or peanuts for garnish if desired
  • Dippers pretzels, graham crackers, mini cookies, apples, celery, etc.

Instructions

  1. Place 4 ounces of cream cheese in a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add 4 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1/2 cup peanut butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla; mix until smooth. Stir in 1/2 cup yogurt and transfer this peanut-butter mixture to one side of a serving bowl.
  2. Place the remaining 4 ounces of cream cheese in the same mixing bowl and beat with the electric mixer until smooth (no need to wash the beaters between). Add 1 cup Homemade Brownie Mix and 1 teaspoon vanilla, mixing slowly until smooth. Stir in the remaining 1/2 cup yogurt and place this brownie batter–style mixture in the other half of the serving bowl.
  3. Use a knife or the back of a wooden spoon to gently swirl the two dips together. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips and/or peanuts on top if desired and serve with assorted dippers.

Notes

Use room-temperature cream cheese so each mixture whips up smooth. You can swap Cool Whip for the yogurt for a lighter, fluffier texture (ingredient note). The dip can be assembled ahead and kept refrigerated until serving; choose sturdy dippers like pretzels or graham crackers for best scooping.
