Question 1

Can I use a different chocolate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can swap in milk or semi-sweet chocolate in place of the Dove Promises; keep the same method and proportions so the sweetened condensed milk continues to create the correct fudgy texture.

Question 2

Can I freeze the fudge?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Wrap squares tightly and freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months; thaw in the refrigerator before serving to maintain texture.

Question 3

Will a different pan size work?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but thickness and chill time will change. The recipe is written for an 8" pan (lined with foil) — a larger pan gives thinner pieces and slightly shorter chill time, while a smaller pan yields thicker, firmer squares.
